Who this app is for

BrightPath Kids is designed for parents and legal guardians. Children should not create accounts directly, and the app is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children outside of what a parent chooses to enter about their own child.

What we collect

From you, the parent:

  • your email address and password (used only to sign you in);
  • your display name (optional).

About your child, only what you choose to enter:

  • first name or nickname;
  • optional age range and grade;
  • optional list of interests;
  • activities, goals, achievements, and printable trackers you create.

We deliberately do not ask for a child's date of birth, home address, school name, photographs, medical records, diagnoses, therapy notes, or disciplinary information. Please do not enter these into the app.

How we use it

We use your information only to operate BrightPath Kids for you — to show your dashboard, save your schedule, generate printable trackers, and let you sign in across devices. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.

How it's protected

Each parent's data is private to their account. Database access controls ensure that one user can never read or modify another user's family records. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest.

Sharing

We do not share your or your child's information with third parties for marketing. We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (e.g., hosting, database, email delivery), under contracts that require them to protect it.

Your choices

  • You can update your name and password from the Account page.
  • You can edit or delete any activity, goal, portfolio item, or tracker at any time.
  • You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us via the contact page. We will complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we delete your records from our active systems; backups are rotated out within 90 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
